WorkwithYork are working with our York based public sector client, on a brand new service, Together We Can, to recruit qualified Children’s Residential Support worker, providing support to children and young people across the city between 11-17.

This role involves working a rota pattern with shifts covering weekends, evening, and bank holidays.

Pay is £15.15 per hour with enhancements for evening and weekend working.

This role involves:
- Working as part of a specialist team to support children and young people and their families who are on the edge of care, who are in care or leaving care.
- You will play a crucial role in a young person’s life, acting as a key worker and developing meaningful relationships built on compassion, respect and trust.
- Providing ongoing support to young people and their families who are on the edge of care or supporting them back to their family home or supported lodgings.
- Providing exceptional care and support when a young person
requires co-ordinated support whilst living in a residential setting.
- Supporting a young person requiring therapeutic care, to access the relevant services and provide oversight and pathway co-ordination in and out of health services in conjunction with multiagency care plans.

You will have:
- Experience in supporting young adults with complex health care needs.
- Have a driving license and a vehicle for transport.
- Be eligible to work in the UK.
- Hold a current valid DBS on the update service or be willing to undertake an online enhanced DBS check.
