Crynodeb
An opportunity has arisen for an Estimator to join a well-respected and established main contractor in the Oxford region, working on a permanent, full-time basis. In this role as an Estimator, you will be working on several highly prestigious contracts within the commercial sector, ranging from £5M-20M.
Estimator Duties:
- Ability to carry out estimating £50k - £15M
- Experienced in using ConQuest estimating system or similar.
- Experienced in preparing and measuring bills of quantities.
- Comfortable measuring using on-screen take off.
- Importing BOQ's in to estimating system.
- Analysing tender quotation returns.
- Producing tender adjudication documentation for presentation to Senior Management Team.
- Experienced in leading post tender value engineering.
- Producing post tender handover packs for production/commercial teams.
- Exposure to competitive and negotiated procurement routes.
Estimator Criteria:
- HNC in Building Studies or higher
- Circa 3-5 years post college experience in main contracting
- Experience in D&B and traditional
- Competent with the JCT suite of Contracts
- Confident in dealing directly with customers, consultants, sub-contractors and suppliers
- Good communicator
- Enthusiastic team player
