Crynodeb

Do you have a commercial plumbing background and are looking for a new challenge? Do you want to work on a strategic project that supports the UK’s defence? How about an exciting role working as an Aquatherm Repair Plumber in support of our Army customers? Join a great team at Aspire Defence Services…

You are not just a plumber who fixes leaks, you are a skilled technician who can handle complex and sensitive tasks, such as replacing Aquatherm with Mapress SS, sterilising and dosing water systems, and supporting the Project Saracen testing programme.

You have a keen eye for detail and can spot any issues with the PP-R pipework systems before they become a problem. You are also a team player who can work well with others and follow the company’s policies and procedures.

To be successful in this role, you will need a combination of experience, knowledge, and skills. You will need to have proven experience of working for a medium-large facilities management organisation, maintaining industrial and commercial wet systems, maintaining, commissioning, and bringing into service PP-R pipework systems, and working on a military establishment.

You will also need to be IT literate (including use of PDA), able to read and interpret system drawings, and have basic electrical knowledge (desirable).

In addition, you will need to have a customer-focused, proactive, and flexible attitude to work, a strong problem-solving capability and self-discipline, a strong communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal), and a professional attitude to workmanship and behaviours.

But first, meet the team…

With a 35-year contract, making soldiers’ lives better is at the heart of everything we do at Aspire Defence Services.

Seriously, picture a heart (the real one) and imagine how hard it works to keep the body running, making sure every part gets exactly what it needs to thrive. That’s our mission; to deliver a modern, fully serviced, flexible working environment for soldiers.

And just as the heart needs certain parts to keep the body alive, we need the dedication and commitment of our people to support our customers. We deliver a broad range of services for one-third of the British Army living and working on our patch, and we're proud of the work we do.

We’re all about nurturing great teams, and our award-winning safety and wellbeing initiatives are built on keeping an eye out for one another and having a good work-life balance.

In addition to being part of our team, you’ll also get…

25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, as well as the option to buy and sell holiday
Contributory Company Pension Plan matched up to 6%, plus individual life assurance
A van and fuel card for business travel
Free mileage from home to work
Tools to support you in your new role
Uniform and PPE
A shopping discounts scheme
Employee assistance and health and wellbeing check ins
Reward and recognition to celebrate outstanding achievements
Free on-site parking
