An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Acute Cardiac Unit for a Deputy Sister or Charge Nurse to join our dynamic friendly team.

There are 3 posts available:

1 Permanent, 1 x12 month Maternity Cover and 1 x6 month Secondment

The Acute Cardiac Unit is a 29 bedded Acute Cardiac Ward. We are a busy unit which specializes in the care of patients with a wide range of cardiac conditions requiring acute care, treatment and intervention.

• To provide high quality, individualised nursing care to patients and their parents/carers through working as an effective member of the inter-disciplinary team.
• To develop clinical and managerial skills by taking charge of the ward in the absence of the Ward Manager
• To contribute to the supervision, assessment and education/development of ward staff and students.
• To contribute to the continuing development of nursing practice through research and audit.
