Student Support
UOE06 - £32,982 to £38,205 per annum
Contract Type - Fixed-term for 18 months
Full-time - 35 Hours Per Week
The Opportunity:
Student Advisers provide a first contact point for students within the School, offering guidance and academic-related support to those navigating the University support systems. Working closely with academic and professional services teams, the role will enable students to achieve their potential, as well as ensure parity of experience for all students.
This is a fantastic opportunity to support students to fully participate and succeed in their chosen courses of study, working closely with University academic and support staff and external agencies as required.
This role us UE06 and is available on a fixed-term contract for 18 months.
Your skills and attributes for success:
Educated to HND level, or equivalent related experience
Experience of working independently and ability to prioritise workloads in the face of conflicting demands
Knowledge of and sensitivity to the complex areas of student support
Excellent interpersonal skills - ability to remain calm and centre the needs of the student, being able to provide a safe and welcoming space for students in distress.
Strong administrative, organisational and IT skills
