Dance Teacher | Temp | Full-time | MPS / UPS | May 2024

An Ofsted rated 'Good' secondary school with 'Outstanding' features in the Reading area is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Dance Teacher to join their team until the end of the academic year. The successful candidate will teach dance to students up to BTEC level, ensuring engaging and inspiring lessons that encourage expression. This school's aim is to provide the best possible life-chances for every student, challenging them to be the best they can be.

Based in Sussex for over 20 years, HAYS education offers high-quality supply teaching service, helping Schools with day-to-day cover as well as more long-term vacancies. We are dedicated in finding you teaching work to suit your needs and availability whether you are a Dance teacher wanting the flexibility of short-term work or the security of a long-term role.

Responsibilities:

- Plan and deliver high-quality dance lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall learning experience.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development.
- Mark student work promptly and provide timely feedback.

Requirements:

- Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching dance at secondary level (Up to BTEC level).
- Passion for fostering creativity and nurturing artistic talent.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to engage and motivate students.
- Commitment to student well-being and academic success.
