An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Dental Nurse to join our team at Ringway Dental Centre 3 days and 2 days at Ashton Health Centre in Preston within the Lancashire and South Cumbria Dental Service.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated individual, with excellent communication skills to assist in the delivery of urgent and routine dental care and also specialist dental service. You must be a qualified dental nurse, and you will have a good standard of education and the ability to work well within a team.

You will mainly work at the above clinics; however you may also be required to work at any of our other clinics, covering sickness and annual leave. You need to be able to work flexibly across 7 days on a rota basis.

You will have opportunity to study for post registration qualifications including sedation and will have access to plentiful CPD and clinical supervision.








• To provide clinical and non-clinical support to Trust employed Dental Clinicians operating across Lancashire Care Dental Service footprint
• To be the link between service user and clinician
• To prepare the surgery for the service user and assist the clinicians in a range of dental treatments
• To assist in the provision of oral health care including the prevention and health education to individual Service Users who may have learning or physical difficulties, mental health illness, be medically compromised, dependent elderly or have a dental phobia.
• To undertake reception duties and carry out administrative duties as necessary

Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust provides a range of services including secondary mental health care across this area. Specialist provision comprises inpatient child and adolescent mental health services, perinatal mental health and forensic services including low and medium secure care.
