Summary

It is an exciting time to join HMP Styal Recovery Service, after winning and extending our current contract for a further seven years from 1 April 2023.

If you are passionate, ambitious and want to make a real difference within substance use this is a fantastic opportunity to be part of an experienced and dedicated Recovery team at HMP Styal.

The role of support worker is essential within our day to day delivery within the Recovery Service and provides opportunity for excellent learning and development, within a secure environment and establishing essential links through the gate.

Provide services within Spectrum’s prison-based Drug & Alcohol recovery-orientated treatment model as part of a forward looking, flexible, innovative, and creative team. Ensure that the service’s key elements (assessment, case management, delivery of psychosocial interventions, release planning and throughcare) are integrated and delivered to a high standard. Deliver services that support service users to achieve recovery goals, positive outcomes and community re-integration, maximising engagement and retention. Work effectively and flexibly with colleagues under the direction of the Drug & Alcohol Service Manager (Recovery), Drug & Alcohol Senior Practitioners, and other managers, to ensure that high standards of performance are maintained. Work collaboratively with other services to provide interventions to support and motivate service users and meet their needs through all stages of their individual recovery journey. Work within a strengths-based, recovery-orientated, change and outcomes and trauma informed approach which promotes service users as responsible co-producers of health, well-being and recovery. Adhere to and support HR processes as required under the guidance of HR, the Drug & Alcohol Service Manager (Recovery) and Senior Practitioner. Work positively and collaboratively with partners including contributing to parole, HDC and ROTL processes and attending adjudications and ACCT reviews where required.
