Description
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Planner to join our team. As the Principal Planner, you will play a key role in the development and implementation of planning strategies and policies for our organization. You will work closely with the senior management team to provide expert advice and guidance on a range of planning matters.
In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning process from start to finish, ensuring that projects are completed in a timely manner and within budget constraints. You will also be involved in conducting research, analyzing data, and making recommendations to improve planning processes and procedures. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure that planning initiatives align with the organization's goals and objectives.
The ideal candidate for this position will have a strong background in urban planning and a proven track record of successfully managing complex planning projects. You must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills in order to effectively liaise with internal teams, external partners, and government agencies. Additionally, you should have a thorough understanding of planning legislation and regulations, as well as the ability to analyze and interpret data.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement planning strategies and policies for the organization
Oversee the planning process from start to finish, ensuring projects are completed within budget and on time
Conduct research and analysis to identify planning opportunities and challenges
Provide expert advice and guidance on a range of planning matters
Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to align planning initiatives with organizational goals
Review planning applications and make recommendations for approval or denial
Attend meetings and public hearings to present planning proposals and gather feedback
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning or a related field
Proven experience in managing and leading planning projects
Strong knowledge of planning legislation and regulations
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to effectively communicate complex planning concepts to a variety of stakeholders
Proficient in using planning software and tools
Strong organizational and time management skills
Hours Per Week: 37.00
Start Time: 09:00
End Time: 17:00
