This opening assignment is for 2-3 months
City: STOCKPORT
A Grave Digger is required to undertake grave digging duties and to be accountable for the preparation, presentation and backfilling of graves in line with policy and procedures by using appropriate plant and equipment. Previous gravedigging experience desirable and experience of machine excavation, hand excavation and backfilling excavation. Experience of using Thwaites dumper (1 tonne) is also required for this role.

Qualifications:
Driving licence desirable.
Experience:
Previous gravedigging experience desirable.
Experience of machine excavation, hand excavation, backfilling excavation.
Grounds maintenance experience desirable.
Familiarity with installation of excavation shoring and all H&S implications.
Previous experience of using a mechanical excavator ( Bobcat 1.7 series).
Experience of using Thwaites dumper (1 tonne).
Minimum of 12 months recent experience in a similar role or context and ideally within a public sector organisation.
Skills & Abilities:
Physical ability to carry out lifting, handling and hand excavation.
Ability to work to timescales, sometimes under pressure and be able to follow instructions.
