Summary


This is an exciting time for aSpecialty OH Doctorto be joining our in-house OH team, as we have has recently undergone expansion and additional investment to help establish a proactive and forward looking service, supporting the health and wellbeing the workforce, which totals 15,000 staff. With our own in house Counselling service. Wellbeing service and staff physiotherapy services we offer a holistic range of support to staff across a diverse workforce.

The team are responsible for supporting the health and wellbeing of staff from commencement in post through to their retirement, advising staff and managers on fitness to work, reasonable adjustments, risk assessments, vaccination uptake and promoting wellbeing in the workplace.

The successful applicant will be required to work 8.5 sessions of Programmed Activity per week, and 1.5 of Professional Activity (SPA) working all supervised by our OH Consultant Physician (Dr Assoufi). The post is offered full time but applicants who wish to work limited hours for personal or professional reasons are encouraged to apply.

The post holder will be managed by the Lead for OH, with professional responsibility to the OH Consultant Physician, with support from the OH Consultant Physician for ongoing professional development, attending workshops, relevant courses, CPD sessions, discussing difficult cases, work issues which require consultant support, and pursuing additional certifications as required

The Imperial Health at Work team are responsible for supporting the health and wellbeing of staff from commencement in post through to their retirement, advising staff and managers on fitness to work, reasonable adjustments, risk assessments, vaccination uptake and promoting wellbeing in the workplace.

The successful applicant will be required to work 8.5 sessions of Programmed Activity per week and 1.5 Professional Activity (SPA), all supported by the OH Consultant.

The sessions can be time-tabled flexibly with the successful applicant and the post-holder is required to work flexibly across the Trust premises to meet the changing demands of the service.

The post holder will be managed by the Lead for Occupational Health, with professional responsibility to and support from, the Occupational Health Consultant Physician

The post holder will work closely with other members of the Occupational Health Department. Responsibilities will include working in a variety of settings including working from our three main sites, Charing Cross Hospital, Hammersmith Hospital and St Marys Hospital in North West London. The department is open Monday- Friday 09:00-17:00 although you will need to have some flexibility around hours from time to time.

With the Consultant in Occupational Medicine, and all members of the multi-disciplinary OH Team, to provide a service for Trust and client staff (our service users / patients). This includes all aspects of an Assessment and Advisory Service, the provision of Clinical Intervention / Treatment Activities, risk management practices and relevant management duties for the proper functioning of the department.

Ensuring services are evidenced-based and provided to best-practice standard, you will provide clinical guidance, articipate in audit, and support business plan development and delivery. Whilst supporting and developing of the MDT you will provide training and develop special interest or skill.
