The post holder’s duties will involve the work tasks mentioned below.

 To direct other staff including assistant manager with all aspects of smooth operation of
the business and to work under his directions.
 Monitor all staff and deal with all customer and staff related issues,
including assisting waiters and kitchen staff when required to ensure that
customer orders are processed in a timely manner and to monitor food
quality and presentation standards consistently.

 Review food stock levels with Chefs, and when required, negotiate with
food suppliers and placing of orders for the supply of products and check
invoices and prices.
 Deal with customer queries and complaints and ensure a satisfactory and
timely response having regard to customer satisfaction and the need to
maintain good customer relationship and business reputation.
 Identify staff training needs, train staff and or arrange in house or external
training as appropriate.
 In line with business policies, deal with any staff disciplinary matters and
monitoring of staff right to work, attendance, time keeping, annual leave,
sickness leave and all other absences and to keep the Manager informed of
the same.
 The General Manager will represent the business in a positive manner and
supervise and deal with all aspects of running the business, including
carrying accounting tasks, liaising with the organisation’s Accountants and
other service Providers.
 The General Manager will be responsible for business publicity and
marketing tasks as required and directed by the Director
 The General Manager must fully comply with all health and safety
regulations and food handling procedures at all times whilst on the business
premises.

 The General Manager will carry out spot checks on a daily basis to ensure
health and safety procedures are being complied with and complete daily
monitoring forms.
