Crynodeb
We need a compassionate and dedicated Primary Teacher for a Year 7 class within an SEN school, for children with autism diagnosis. Students are working around their cognitive age, requiring tailored teaching approaches to support their learning journey.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting class teaching and associated preparatory, assessment, recording, and reporting work within a subject specialism and/or other curriculum areas.
- Demonstrating proficiency in various teaching and learning strategies, catering to diverse learning styles.
- Leading or substantially contributing to the planning and delivery of policy documents and schemes of work for relevant subjects.
- Delivering knowledge, skills, and understanding aligned with the National Curriculum, adapting as necessary for individual student requirements.
- Actively promoting literacy, numeracy, ICT, careers, and Key Skills within the curriculum.
- Supporting the spiritual, moral, social, and cultural development of students while instilling British Values.
- Staying updated with current educational practices through professional development opportunities and training.
- Participating in relevant school meetings pertaining to curriculum, organisation, and administration.
Requirements:
- Embracing all aspects of school life with a composed demeanor.
- Demonstrating empathy and sensitivity towards students' individual needs.
- Collaborating effectively within a dynamic and supportive team environment.
- Fostering an environment of respect among students and colleagues.
- Creating a sense of control and security within the classroom.

- Flexibly adjusting teaching methods to meet evolving student needs.
- A valid DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) on the update service.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), recognised in the UK.
- Previous experience working with special educational needs (SEN) students.
- Prior experience teaching in the UK education system is essential.
