Overview:

We are seeking an initiative-taking and detail-oriented individual to join our team. As a Hearing Care Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the audiologist and team.

You will already be a qualified HCA and be competent in dealing with hearing aid repairs and hearing screening.

Ideally you will also be confident in booking appointments and dealing with patient enquiries, You will be qualified as an ear wax removal specialist, competent in ear wax removal via microsuction and irrigation or have a desire to learn this skill.

Duties:

- spending half the day manning the busy reception desk and the other half of the day in your own clinic adjusting, fitting and repairing hearing aids, performing ear wax removal and hearing screening.

- Maintain cleanliness and organization of procedure rooms and equipment

- Collect and record patient information, such as vital signs and medical history

- Perform basic administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments and managing patient records

- Follow established protocols and guidelines to ensure compliance with safety and infection control standards

- Provide support to patients and their families, addressing any questions or concerns they may have

Qualifications:

- Qualified Hearing Care Assistant

- Ideally qualified as an ear wax removal specialist although training for this could be provided for the right person.

- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately

- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks efficiently

- Compassionate and empathetic approach when interacting with patients

- Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information

- Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and schedules
