Description
We are currently seeking an AMHP (Approved Mental Health Professional) to join our team. The AMHP plays a crucial role in supporting individuals with mental health needs and ensuring their safety and wellbeing. As an AMHP, you will have the opportunity to work closely with patients, their families, and multi-disciplinary teams to provide holistic care and support to those experiencing mental health crises.
Responsibilities
Conducting comprehensive risk assessments and mental health assessments for individuals in crisis.
Collaborating with healthcare professionals, social workers, and other agencies to develop and implement care plans.
Making decisions regarding the provision of compulsory treatment under the Mental Health Act.
Advocating for individuals' needs and rights within the legal framework.
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, care plans, and interventions.
Providing crisis intervention and support to individuals in acute distress.
Participating in multidisciplinary meetings and case conferences to contribute to treatment planning and review.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related field.
Approved Mental Health Professional status.
Extensive knowledge of mental health legislation, including the Mental Health Act.
Demonstrated experience in conducting risk assessments and mental health assessments.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with patients and their families.
Ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of individuals in crisis.
Hours Per Week: 36.00
Start Time: 09:00
End Time: 17:00
Pay Per Hour: £27.92
