Crynodeb
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- To assist in the implementation of Bedford Vulnerable Children's Quality Assurance Strategy using performance indicators and management targets to ensure the best outcomes are achieved for children.
- To manage the child protection conference decision making process and in the absence of a majority decision take the decision regarding the need for children and young people to be made the subject of child protection plans
- To implement the guidance from the IRO Handbook statutory guidance for independent reviewing officer and local authorities in relation to case management and review for looked after children.
- To undertake a quality assurance role in relation to children in need, children in need of protection, and looked after children, by actively monitoring practice standards, systems and processes and identifying any practice deficits in order to improve service delivery for children, young people and their families.
A professional social work qualification i.e. Degree/DipSW, CQSW or equivalent with post qualification professional training, i.e. PQ, CCA, ASW.
Must have Social Work England registration and relevant Management Training
Must have substantial post qualifying experience in Children's social care, including Child Protection and / or Looked After Children with a recent proven track record of demonstrably improving outcomes for children
