Summary

Viberoptix Ltd deliver frontline services to fibre network providers across the UK and Ireland and we are seeking an ESG Officer n to join our team.

You will work in a friendly and progressive company with opportunities for personal and professional development with our team based in Cumbria.

The Job Role:

You will report into the ESG Manager and will assist in the design, implementation and delivery of the Environmental, Sustainability and Governance strategy for Viberoptix. Passionate about this field of work, you will use your knowledge and influencing skills to inspire a cultural transformation and the integration of environmentally sustainable behaviours and tools across operational and functional areas.

Support the design and build teams with environmental matters, including input into mapping for the network design
Liaise with specialist contractors regarding the submissions of applications for permission to build fibre network while adhering to environmental regulations
Provide reporting on ESG matters to the ESG Manager, highlighting any areas of concern
Be an advocate for all ESG areas throughout the business, helping to implement and ensure governance of initiatives
Engage with the local authorities, councils and communities to promote Viberoptix and the ESG work
Partner with key stakeholders & functional experts across the Business to ensure the effective communication of our environmental, sustainability and governance agenda
Assist on delivery of Carbon reduction strategies
Coach, mentor and manage the project implementation teams to deliver business sustainability goals and objectives
Build cross functional relationships within the value stream to build trust to challenge the current state. Strong understanding of change management to build momentum and buy-in for operational changes across the business
Assist with the continuous improvement of our ISO Integrated Management Systems, with a key focus on ISO 14001
Adherence to all Health and Safety regulations

The Person:

Demonstrable experience in a similar role
Ability to influence and communicate well within all levels of the organization
Demonstrable ability to lead in a complex environment, energizing teams and executing strategic projects
Knowledge of mapping software, e.g. Arc or equivalent
Proven ability to drive and manage change initiatives
Ability to successfully motivate and maintain high moral, employee involvement, safety and teamwork
Full valid driver licence
