There is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic, motivated person with experience in working with children looking for new challenges. The post provides excellent opportunities to develop your clinical, and professional skills within the community setting in Hounslow. The post holder will contribute to the development of the service and have opportunities to supervise students or staff working within the team.
The Children’s Therapy Team continually strives towards evidence based clinical practice and has efficient services to provide rapid access for children and families with short waiting times for assessment and treatment. We provide services to children aged 0-19 years with neuro-developmental, musculo-skeletal and developmental co-ordination disorders in pre-school, mainstream and special education settings, using a variety of approaches including Bobath. In addition you will have the opportunity to work within a variety of settings including children’s musculoskeletal out patient, and groups.
• To assist in the running and management of group therapy.
• To assist in clinical projects which involve group or individual therapy input.
• To assist in administrative duties as specified by the Physiotherapist
• To assist the Physiotherapist in the management of a clinical caseload at locations as appropriate.
• To carry out specific programmes with children and young people with Physiotherapy needs.
• To support parents and carers and education staff (where appropriate) to enable clients to reach their developmental profile within the boundaries of your competence
