About the team?

St Philips Marsh Engineering plant team has the responsibility to maintain the depot equipment, infrastructure and assets. Ensuring the safety of colleagues working within the depot environment and maintaining depot assets in accordance with legislative requirements.

The Plant team are an essential support function, ensuring maintenance colleagues can work in safe conditions in order that a train service can be delivered for our customers on a daily basis.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within this team as a Depot Plant Administrator. As part of this team, you will support the Plant Team Leader with managing resources, contractors, contractor inductions, materials, and documentation. You will also be tasked with managing the asset management system.

About the job?

Your main responsibilities with be with the plant team who maintain the depot infrastructure. The Depot plant team are also part of the Depot Engineering Management (DEM) Team who have responsibilities for supporting other depot activities. As a result there will also be a requirement to support the DEM team on an adhoc basis, such as cover for leave or sickness, this may involve other admin duties such as note taking.

Your main responsibilities will be:

-Working with the DEM team to:

-Manage data inputting.

-Storage of documentation

-Carry out depot inductions.

-Support Warranty Engineer with manging the warranty process

-Liaise with stakeholder as required.

-Support the Depot Management team.

You'll need to be:

-Flexible

-Well organised with a strong attention to detail and accuracy

-Able to communicate effectively (both verbally and written word)

-Able to respond well to pressure and prioritise workload accordingly whilst using your own initiative.

-Able to work as part of a team and with limited supervision.

As a minimum you'll need to have:

-An understanding the importance of following processes.

-Familiar with various IT systems, Microsoft Excel, word,

-An Independent learner with an enthusiasm for development.

-Ability to take notes and present them in a coherent manner.

-Demonstrate the ability to build relationships within a team.

About the location?

St Philips Marsh Depot is a large site with good transport links. We are 15mins walk from Bristol Temple Meads Railway station.

Working Pattern?

This is a permanent position and will require working Monday to Friday core business hours. There may also be opportunities to attend off site meetings.
