What are we looking for?
Birmingham Newman University is actively seeking to enrich its academic team by inviting applications for Visiting Lecturers who committed to shaping the future of Chaplaincy education and training. As a Visiting Lecturer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our dynamic learning environment. As a visiting lecturer for Chaplaincy, you will be assigned teaching duties on an hourly basis tailored to your expertise when needed. This unique opportunity allows for flexible engagement throughout the academic year, responding to our course’s evolving needs. The allocation of hours depends on course requirements and may be offered on short notice. Financial compensation for this role is competitive and varies according to the nature of the work undertaken.
If appointed as a Visiting Lecturer, teaching will be allocated on an hourly basis. Successful applicants will be contacted when their expertise is required during the academic year. The number of hours available will be subject to course requirements and may be offered at short notice. The hourly rate of pay for this role varies dependant on the type of work completed. Please see Appendix One of the associated job description for more information.
Relevant subject expertise is essential. Teaching experience and/or a teaching qualification is also preferred.
