What are we looking for?
Birmingham Newman University is looking to recruit Visiting Lecturers within Primary Initial Teacher Education with a passion for excellent and quality teaching. All candidates will need Qualified Teacher Status.
We are looking for expertise in any of the following areas:
• Primary curriculum
• Early Years Foundation Stage
• Coaching and mentoring
• Supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) within the Primary context
• Supporting children with English as an Additional Language (EAL) within the Primary context
• Leadership and management
• Safeguarding
If appointed as a Visiting Lecturer, teaching will be allocated on an hourly basis. Successful applicants will be contacted when their expertise is required during the course of the academic year. The number of hours available will be subject to course requirements and may be offered at short notice. The hourly rate of pay for this role varies dependant on the type of work completed. Please see Appendix One of the associated job description for more information.
Relevant subject expertise is essential. Teaching experience and/or a teaching qualification is also preferred.
