Ipswich based, a leading manufacturer of medical furniture, looking to employ a skilled individual to join their R&D team.
We are looking to employ a skilled draughtsperson/CAD operator, competent in producing 3D models and drawings using SolidWorks software.
The primary role with be the creation of detailed technical drawings, 3D models, and visualizations to support the design and manufacturing process.
Responsibilities:
• Create detailed technical drawings and 3D models of medical furniture products using SolidWorks software.
• Generate photorealistic renderings, visualizations and motion studies/videos using SolidWorks Visualize.
• Collaborate with engineers and designers to develop product designs, concepts, and prototypes.
• Participate in design reviews and provide feedback to optimize product designs for functionality, manufacturability, and aesthetics.
• Support prototype development and testing activities by providing accurate design documentation and models.
• Maintain organized files and documentation of design revisions and updates.
Skills Required:
• Proven experience as a Draughtsperson or CAD Operator, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks CAD software.
• Experience with SolidWorks Visualize or other rendering software.
• Create clean, consistent CAD drawings which are clear for internal and external use.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Maintaining drawing file records to a high standard.
• Proficiency in Microsoft office.
• Excellent in communication skills and time management.
• Able to work independently but also as part of a team.
