Summary

Contracts Manager - Landscaping - Exeter-Plymouth area

We are recruiting for one of our long standing clients for a Contracts Manager to work in the Exeter - Plymouth area Monday – Friday, 40 hours a week, 8am – 5pm.

As the Manager you will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and adding to the existing client base. You will also be responsible for the delivery of all contracts to a high standard, for several different clients and Main Contractors ensuring compliance with relevant standards and ensuring repeat business. You will also be required to develop and manage a team covering Devon and Cornwall as well as being responsible for maintaining, developing, and sustaining the profitability of each project.

Responsibilities:

To maintain and add to the existing client base
Establish and maintain appropriate systems for monitoring all aspects of the work including internal and client requirements.
Manage and develop directly reporting staff.
Ensure that directly reporting staff are working together as a team to provide a quality service.
Manage and control all commercial aspects of the work.
Monitor measure and report on all aspects of work internal and client requirements within agreed formats and timescales.
Use personal judgement and initiative to develop effective and constructive solutions to challenges and obstacles.
Maintain and share with colleagues as appropriate, personal knowledge of all relevant information that may aid or improve the service delivery of the company.
Ensure that all Health & Safety requirements are being carried out.
Liaise with clients and attend all client meetings.
Deal with customer complaints and liaise with customer and clients to a successful conclusion.

Requirements / Qualifications:

Ideally the candidate will be SMSTS qualified with a gold CSCS card and experience in the building site industry.
Other qualifications/experience will be considered.
Our client is looking for someone who has landscape knowledge particularly on new build house and commercial sites.
A UK driver’s licence is essential as is a gold CSCS card. Ensuring all work meets quality and safety standards, whilst maintaining effective control, some programming and monitoring of work are all pivotal to the role.
Working to clear procedures you will ensure all work meets quality and safety standards.

This is an exciting role for someone that is wanting to push on in their career while having support from a national company.

In addition, you will need good time management and administrative skills, and show leadership coupled with excellent communication skills. The role is Monday to Friday and is although more than likely starting on a temp to perm it is a permanent role.

Pay will be on a weekly basis at a start of £17.50 P/H based on a 40 hour week. The successful applicant will have the benefits of the use of a company van, on site parking, and a company pension after the qualifying period.
