Summary

Job Summary -

An opportunity has arisen within the Regeneration & Community Services Directorate for a Team Leader to manage the Authority’s Waste Operations and Fleet Management Services within the Neighbourhood Services Division.

The successful candidate will be required to ensure the operation of efficient and effective services which deliver against the section, divisional Business plans, directorate Corporate Improvement Objectives and driving the collaboration agenda forward with neighbouring local authoritites and key partner agencies.

The management of the Council’s Waste Operations and Fleet Management Services will include.

 To manage and develop the departments expertise in Waste Operations.
 To manage and develop the departments expertise in Fleet Management.
 Preparation of monitoring reports for SMT/CMT/Scrutiny and the Executive to inform decision-making.

The successful candidate will also be required to lead on project management of the Council’s Transport services for the transition to a low carbon Fleet, and to develop, maintain and manage the department’s expertise in refuse and recycling collections.

The department is currently working with WRAP and Local Partnerships to undertake a review of operational practices, therefore future changes to the successful candidate’s duties and responsibilities could occur as a result.
