Summary
Waste Operative
Location: Whitby
Hours: Monday to Friday 7am until 4.30pm with 2 half an hour breaks
Gi Group are recruiting for an Industrial Recycling Operative for one of our clients based in the Whitby area.
The Recycling Operative will join a team of people working for a company providing waste management and segregation services to customers.
Key Duties:
- Segregation of large waste materials and bulky recyclables
- Following the instruction of the supervisor to ensure smooth running of the site
- Working as part of a small team to ensure smooth running of site
- To carry out any other duties required for the day-to-day safe operation of the site
- Ensure the site is hazard free, kept tidy and swept at all times, all wastes must be removed from grounds and placed within correct recycling storage bin
- Full training given to the right applicant who is keen to learn
Personal Attributes and other Requirements:
- Good timekeeper
- Reliable and Hardworking
- Good Communication Skills
- Must be physically fit as there will be some heavy lifting involved
This is an on-going position and if the candidate shows the right attitude for the role you may be offered a Permanent contract with career progression.
