Summary

We are looking for a professional and self-motivated individual to join our team. The case build officers provide investigative and court case file support to the wider Prisoner Handling Team. Delivering on Nottinghamshire Police’s commitment to achieving an outstanding service and improved file quality.

As part of the team, you will work in partnership with the unit’s Police Officers, mainly attached to a specific team and currently working a 3/3/3 shift pattern - securing evidence, exhibits, statements and upgrading court files for both Magistrates and Crown court. The case build officers are responsible for disclosure as per the National Disclosure Manual.

The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a team yet independently manage and progress their own workloads. The role requires good communication skills and flexibility to meet court request timescales. An eye for detail, strong written and verbal communication is essential. The post holder will require a full driver’s licence as the role will require visiting victims and witnesses of crime.

In role training will be provided. Successful applicants will use Police systems such as NICHE, NICE, SAFE and PNC. They will also show successful understanding of CPIA 1996, PEACE interviewing model, The Disclosure Manual, Data Protection, and the National File Procedure.
