Operational Delivery Officer – Environmental Services
Permanent, 37 hours per week
Salary NS10 £33,945 - £35,745 per annum
Pay Award Pending

Do you have a passion for design and delivery, assisting the Council in rolling out it’s Community Plan?

Working as an Operational Deliver Officer in the Environmental Services Business Unit, you will act as a conduit between the operational arm of the department as well as the managers and officers within the service who are changed with delivering all of the Council’s aspirations contained within the Community Plan.

You will work closely with the Environmental Development Officer to ensure smooth transition from design to delivery and ensure that deadlines are met.

In addition, you will work alongside operational team leaders and managers to monitor performance and service delivery across the whole business unit, capturing and analysing data in order to provide feedback and suggestive improvements to all front-line services.

Providing detailed reports on all aspects of service delivery and presenting findings to the Business Manager and all service managers is essential.

You will have demonstrable experience managing operational services at a supervisory level and addressing operational issues applying strategic, risk-based solutions or future proofing. Educated to A-Level or equivalent, or by evidencing demonstrable experience is essential.

We’re an ambitious, forward-thinking Council with strong values and a culture of doing our absolute best to serve our customers. We are proud of our organisational culture and receive positive feedback from our employees. We have a programme of internal activity to ensure that the voices of our employees are always heard and that they are kept informed on all Council activity and events.

From roadshows to an annual award ceremony, from reviewing working arrangements to our Hug in a Mug initiative, it is incredibly important our employees are shown how valued they are and that they remain the beating heart of our workplace.

We offer enrolment in the career average local government pension scheme, a generous annual leave entitlement that increases with service, a whole host of family-friendly benefits, 1 days’ paid volunteering leave, lifestyle benefits platform, and £10 a month gym membership at one of our four gyms in the district.
You will be working with a professional, committed and experienced team who are passionate about supporting us to deliver the objectives as outlined in our Community Plan.
