Your new role
Hays Logistics are currently looking to recruit an Import Operator for an established international shipping and transportation business, based in the Immingham area. As Import Operator, you will be responsible for customs clearance documentation, working as part of a multifunctional team.
Key duties include;
- Coordinate and monitor import operations to ensure efficient delivery.
- Maintain compliance with industry regulations and standards.
- Communicate with clients and handle any issues or concerns.
- Prepare and manage documentation for import procedures.
- Participate in logistics planning and improvement processes.
- Contacting customers for delivery instructions/documentation
- Arranging delivery of cargo through third party hauliers
- Arranging collection of cargo from our terminal/warehouse
What you'll need to succeed
- Experience in a similar environment is essential, either import, export, transport or logistics.
- Knowledge of import procedures and regulations.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

You will work Monday - Friday, 35 hours per week and cover weekend work 1 in 5 once you have passed probation. This work can be done from home, and you will receive additional pay for this work.
