Summary
Job Title: XYZ/Conventional Machinist
Location: Birmingham
Hours: Days based with flexible start & finish (between 6am 6pm)
Pay Rate: £18 p/hour.
We are currently recruiting for a CNC machinist to Elevate their career with a dynamic role in the heart of Birmingham's industrial sector. A prestigious firm, renowned for its expertise in gear cutting, refurbished industrial gearbox repairs, and welding & fabrication services, is seeking a dedicated individual to join their team. With over a decade of excellence, this company stands at the forefront of innovation, delivering top-tier refurbishment work for leading automotive OEMs.
The machining processes they offer are EDM: Sink, Fast hole drilling, Wire Erosion, and we also have an extensive machine shop to make our own tooling and jigs. We can also accommodate hi-spec sub-contract work.

**Whats the job?**
* The role involves engaging in time-critical contracts
* A focus on reverse engineering and the creation of bespoke, one-off projects
* Candidates will find themselves immersed in a fast-paced environment that not only challenges but also enriches their professional development.
* Should be comfortable working under pressure to meet tight deadlines
* Be able to demonstrate a blend of precision and innovation in their work
* The ability to adapt to various tasks and a commitment to delivering exceptional quality is paramount
**Who can do this?**
* Apprentice-trained or equivalent experience is highly desirable.
* A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role.
* Proficiency in operating CNC machines with XYZ ProtoTRAK controls.
* Adept at conventional milling and turning.
* CAD/CAM knowledge is an asset, though not essential
