Are you passionate about equine veterinary care and seeking an exciting opportunity in a picturesque market town? Look no further! We are currently seeking an Equine Ambulatory Vet to join a well-respected independent practice located in Northamptonshire.
Nestled in a charming market town, their location offers an abundance of recreational activities suitable for individuals and families alike. With approximately 109 parks and playgrounds, you'll find ample green spaces to explore and enjoy, making it an ideal destination for family fun and entertainment.
Established for over 148 years, our client has been providing expert veterinary care to domestic animals, horses, and farm animals. They take pride in being a traditional and well-respected independent practice in the area. Their team benefits from a mix of youthful energy and seasoned experience, creating an environment where new knowledge thrives alongside years of expertise.
As an Equine Ambulatory Vet you will have the opportunity to work with a wide range of clients, from pleasure horse owners to competition and stud yards. Our client's well-equipped ambulatory service, complemented by modern equipment and enthusiastic staff, allows them to provide top-notch care to their patients in the comfort of their own homes. Complicated cases are preferentially referred to a nearby specialist equine hospital.
You will be part of a large yet friendly mixed practice, collaborating with over 8 Small Animal Vets and 40+ additional staff. Together, they are dedicated to providing the best service possible to their loyal client base. Additionally, their strong farm base, including dairy, beef, and sheep farmers, offers a unique opportunity to embrace the country community. But don't worry, there will be NO TB Testing!
Experience would be preferred but all CVs will be considered. The successful applicant will get all the support they need but will be encouraged to pursue their cases to their natural conclusions. The Rota:
• Full time role - good work/life balance
• 1:5 on-call rota with generous time off following a weekend duty
