This lovely family in San Diego, USA is seeking an International Nanny to care for their toddler and school-aged child on a permanent live-in basis. The position involves weekend work with 2 days off during the week. Responsibilities include school runs by car, all nanny duties such as cooking, cleaning, and laundry for the children, as well as running basic errands for the mother. Some overnight stays will be required, compensated additionally. The ideal candidate should be empathetic, kind, patient, and possess good energy and emotional intelligence to understand the children’s feelings. A US passport or the right to work in the US is required, and Spanish-speaking ability is a big bonus.
A valid first aid qualification is needed for this position.
Working hours: 5 days a week, weekdays: 6:30 am to 8:30 am + 2pm to 8pm. Weekend: 8am to 8pm. 2 days off during the week.
Accommodation: Ensuite bedroom
Duties include:
cooking healthy meals for the children
following morning and afternoon routines
changing nappies and helping with potty/toilet training
helping older children with homework
teaching general life skills, such as basic hygiene and manners
creating activities and playdates
preparing and administering healthy food for the children
preparing and assisting with bath time and bedtime
cleaning and washing up after children’s meals
reporting every activities and issue to the parents
