We are currently seeking Production Assistants for our manufacturing client in Padiham, BB12.
The starting rate of pay is £11.50 per hour, the days are Monday to Thursday 8am to 5pm, Friday 7.50am to 1.45pm.
Responsibilities of the Production Assistant The correct storage, preparation and conversion of materials. Use of the appropriate machines and tools to complete the above processes (e.g. press machines, laminating machines, moulding machines if required) To carry out finishing and packing of materials and products if required. To pay attention to quality and set processing times, targets and procedures. The correct use of any documentation and systems that may be required for stock control, workflow and quality. To carry out general housekeeping duties and any additional duties, this may be required, from time to time at the discretion of the manager. To exercise due care and attention, and adhere to the companies rules and regulations and H+S policies. Requirements/Essential Skills of the Production Assistant Dexterous, and able to perform manufacturing operations. Willing to apply themselves in a positive and punctual manner at all times. Ability to work with and respect others, initiative to work on your own to given targets. Good level of spoken English and the ability to follow written, verbal and visual instructions to specifications. Internal Training will be given on H+S and machine operations. As stated above, training will be provided, but any experience in a similar production/assembly environment or experience with CNC/ machine operation is desirable.
This is an ongoing assignment with the potential of gaining a permanent position after a successful trial period.
