Exciting Opportunity for HLTA (Higher Level Teaching Assistant) in Barnstaple!

Are you an experienced HLTA looking for a new and rewarding opportunity in education? TeacherActive is currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant to support primary schools in the Barnstaple area. As an HLTA, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality educational support to students and assisting teachers in delivering engaging lessons.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Leading small group interventions and delivering tailored support to students.
    • Assisting with lesson planning and preparation under the guidance of classroom teachers.
    • Providing one-on-one support to students with additional learning needs.
    • Supervising classroom activities and ensuring a safe and positive learning environment.
    • Collaborating with teachers and other support staff to promote student progress and well-being.

    Requirements:

      • HLTA qualification or equivalent experience.
      • Previous experience working in a primary school setting.
      • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
      • Ability to engage and motivate students of varying abilities.
      • Enhanced DBS check (we can assist with this if necessary).
