Job Description: We are looking for a dedicated Level 3 Teaching Assistant to support the teaching and learning activities within our school in Barnstaple. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers to provide essential assistance in the classroom, ensuring that students receive the support they need to excel academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Assist teachers in the planning and delivery of engaging lessons that meet the diverse needs of students.
    • Provide one-on-one support to students who require additional help with their learning, including those with special educational needs.
    • Help to create a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and supported.
    • Support the implementation of behavior management strategies to promote positive behavior and student engagement.
    • Assist with the assessment of student progress and contribute to the preparation of reports for parents and guardians.
    • Collaborate effectively with colleagues and other professionals to meet the individual needs of students.

    Requirements:

      • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
      • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant within a school setting is desirable.
      • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
      • A compassionate and patient approach to supporting students with diverse learning needs.
      • Knowledge of relevant safeguarding procedures and a commitment to promoting the welfare of children and young people.
      • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.
      • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of the school environment.
