Summary
Recreation Assistants (2 posts available)
37 hours per week on a shift rota basis, including weekend and bank holidays
Post 1 - Permanent
Starting salary between £22638 and £24180 per annum
Post 2 – Apprenticeship, 2 year fixed term contract
Starting salary of £22074 per annum (£11.44 per hour).
Based at Alive Downham Leisure, Downham Market
We have two exciting opportunities for you to join our Alive Downham team to ensure the Centre users have a safe and enjoyable visit. We have a permanent opportunity for you to lifeguard the pool and assist with the general day to day operation including reception duties and cleaning tasks. Or if you are interested in the sport and fitness industry and are keen to develop your career within leisure, we have an apprenticeship available for you to gain practical experience in our Centre alongside completing the level 2 Leisure Team Member qualification, the National Pool Lifeguard Qualification and Swimming Teacher Qualification.
For both roles you will also teach swimming to all abilities from non-swimming to advanced and full training will be provided for this. You will have a competent standard of swimming and will be asked to complete a swim test prior to interview. You must have good communication skills with confidence in dealing with members of the public and have good time management skills and an adaptable approach to work hours and duties.
Appointment is subject to a satisfactory enhanced Disclosure, through the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
