If your answer is yes to any of the above, then we have an exciting opportunity available within our Pharmacy Department at The Princess Royal Hospital, Telford (PRH), for a Specialist Clinical Pharmacist working within our rehabilitation setting for those areas including Stroke, Frailty and Orthopaedics. This is a brand new role within our Trust where we are looking to provide a new service to our patients who require input in the rehabilitation setting, working as part of a strong clinical pharmacy team focused on this point in the patient’s journey.

We are in the process of recruiting a team including a dedicated Pharmacy Technician and Pharmacy Assistant Technical Officer, and we are seeking to complete this team by recruiting a motivated, innovative, clinically driven Pharmacist who wants to make a difference.

The successful applicant must be committed to delivering an excellent clinical pharmacy service for our patients and will look to further educate and train our team through the development of a training programme.



The post holder will:
• Be a highly specialised clinical pharmacist delivering a high level to clinical pharmacy input for those patients within the rehabilitation setting for those areas including Stroke, Frailty and Orthopaedics
• Work as an independent prescriber to optimise medicine regimes for those patients within the rehabilitation setting for those areas including Stroke, Frailty and Orthopaedics
• Be lead pharmacist regarding the day-to-day delivery of a consistently high clinical pharmacy service for those patients within the rehabilitation setting for those areas including Stroke, Frailty and Orthopaedics. The service will be delivered in conjunction with junior pharmacists and medicine management technicians and will include daily ward visits, participation in consultant ward rounds and teaching of medical, nursing and less experienced pharmacy staff
• Lead the development of Clinical Pharmacy standards across the Trust for those patients within the rehabilitation setting for those areas including Stroke, Frailty and Orthopaedics
• Be a clinical co-ordinator or tutor for the Keele University Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy
