We work in partnership with Portsmouth University Hospital NHS trust and our two Community Trusts to offer community, day and in-patient specialist services. This is a service post to assist the Consultants and Specialist doctors with the management of an increasingly complex and intense caseload. There is excellent support for personal and career development with plenty of opportunity for education and quality improvement work. The position of Trust Grade Doctor is for 6 months in the first instance, ideal for those wishing to gain more experience in a hospice setting. The role will form part of the Hospice on-call rota (a 2% availability supplement is payable). The rota is non-resident, and provides cover for Rowans Hospice in-patient unit 1 in 5 including weekends, with senior supervision available at all times. We regret that on-call accommodation cannot be provided; doctors are required to remain within one hours travelling distance at all times whilst on-call. Benefits Consultant / SAS support is available at all times. Annual and Study Leave will be paid pro rata (FTE 30 days Annual Leave; two days Study Leave in 6 months). Salary: Pay scale MT-03.
