Summary


An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and ambitious individual to join the Trauma & Orthopaedic Department at The Royal London Hospital. We are seeking to recruit a Patient Care Coordinator to the Orthopaedic Team to provide excellent patient care and pathway support and to assist in the delivery of a high quality service.

The post holder will play a key role in ensuring a smooth and efficient pathway administration for patients throughout their journey through the Service; from the point of referral, to point of discharge. The successful applicant will be highly motivated, proactive and well organized with a strong sense of patient/customer care. The ability to multi task and work under pressure with a can do attitude in what can often be a busy office environment is essential.

Candidates ideally should have a good knowledge and understanding of patient access targets and have knowledge of healthcare administrative systems and processes.

To support the administration and delivery of the Orthopaedic service through typing clinic letters in a timely manner and ensuring letter turn-around times are maintained, supporting the validation of patient pathways and next events to prevent breaches, and working closely with the service’s administrative and clerical teams.
