An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Operational Matron to join the Division of Medicine

We are seeking a highly motivated individual with a proven track record of progressive, transformational leadership, to drive a culture of quality care to improve outcomes and experience for patients who use our services.

The successful candidate will be somebody who encompasses our Trust Values and will work with staff, to ensure that our services are safe and effective.

You must possess excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills; you should be able to demonstrate your experience of developing a culture of high performance and excellence. Problem solving and being able to adapt to a changing environment are key to this role.

The Operational Matron will work with internal and external stakeholders to define service need and facilitate new patient pathways. You will work closely with the Divisional senior leadership team other Matrons and Ward Staff to ensure the safe implementation of patient pathways.

The post holder will provide onsite professional, operational and managerial leadership for the achievement of patient flow and quality targets.

You will also be expected to participate in supporting the wider operational and strategic management of the Trust. Leadership and experience in this specialty would be advantageous but is not essential.
