About Leonard Cheshire

Leonard Cheshire is a leading UK charity supporting disabled individuals to live, learn and work as independently as they choose. Our 100 years of experience and expertise has given us a deep understanding of the needs and aspirations of disabled people, and we are committed to creating a society that is inclusive, accessible and empowering for all.

About the role

As an Activities Worker at The Orchard, you will be responsible for delivering a range of appealing and engaging social and recreational activities for our residents. Your creativity and passion for providing variety and choice will make a real difference in the lives of people with disabilities that we support.

You will be involved in organising outings and events, finding common interests amongst smaller groups, and encouraging everyone to share their baking skills. Your creative flair and organisational skills will be key in making these activities successful and enjoyable for all.

About you

We are looking for someone with an artistic flair, great organisational skills, and a keen interest in arranging fantastic social activities. No previous experience in activity work is required, but it would be advantageous to have worked with and supported people with disabilities before.

Your benefits and rewards

In addition to competitive pay, we offer a wide range of employee rewards, including access to Wagestream, which allows you to withdraw up to 40% of your pay before payday. We also provide a free Blue Light card with discounts for high street retailers, eating out, and fun family days. Other benefits include a free DBS check, generous annual leave, a contributory pension scheme, and excellent training programmes relevant to your role.

If this sounds of interest to you, please contact Ketan Patel at ketan.patel@leonardcheshire.org or 0783 4107 791.
