COMMUNITY ASTHMA NURSE SPECIALISTS FOR CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE

BAND 6

Part time 22.5 Hours

We are delighted to announce exciting new opportunities to join the Community Asthma Service for Children and Young People within Mid and South Essex Community Collaborative (MSECC)

The Mid and South Essex Community Collaborative (MSECC) brings together the three main providers for community services: Essex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (EPUT), North East London NHS Foundation Trust (NELFT) and Provide Community Interest Company CIC in a Community Health Services Provider Collaborative.

In order to drive this transformation we now require asthma nurses to provide expert advice and education to support diagnosis and management of children and young people with Asthma within the community setting. These posts will be predominantly based within the EPUT locality during induction and preceptorship, whilst simultaneously developing relationships with both Primary and Secondary health care professionals in either Mid Essex (Provide) or Basildon, Brentwood, and Thurrock (NELFT) in preparation for transformation of the Asthma Service across the MSECC.



We are looking for highly motivated, innovative, and flexible children’s trained nurses to join our community asthma service. The successful candidates will be an RSCN or RN Child with substantial specialist knowledge and experience of supporting children and young people with asthma. The applicants must be well organised and able to work autonomously on their own initiative and be excellent communicators embracing family partnership care.

The role includes extensive collaborative working with Health Visitors, School Nurses, GPs, Primary Care Networks, Paediatric Consultants and Asthma Nurse Specialists to ensure the delivery of relevant, co-ordinated and high-quality care solutions for children and families with asthma within the community setting.
