Albright Education Centre is a progressive and vibrant learning community that focuses on raising the aspirations and potential of every pupil at the school. We are seeking to appoint an outstanding, highly motivated, enthusiastic teacher who can bring new knowledge and skills to the service. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate English teacher to join our specialist staff team. As an inspirational teacher, applicants will have the energy and vision to deliver English across the centre and home tuition.

The ideal candidate will:

· be an experienced teacher

· have experience of planning and delivering the English curriculum at Key Stages 3, 4 and 5 (small mixed ability classes)

· be adaptable and a committed team player

· have the ability to engage and inspire pupils

· be committed to Albright’s ethos of high expectations

· be willing to play a full part in the life of the school

· be willing to deliver English both in the Centre and on Home Tuition

All staff are committed to putting the pupils first, ensuring they achieve in all aspects of their learning. The successful candidate will have a keen interest in the well-being of young people, a good communicator with secure ICT skills. The school provides a continuation of Education for pupils who, due to medical, psychological or psychiatric difficulties, are unable to attend their mainstream school.

This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent and spoken English is an essential requirement for this role

The staff and management committee of Albright Education Centre are committed to protecting and safeguarding all their pupils to ensure, as far as possible, that they are free from harm. 

As part of the safeguarding process, the successful candidate must have full enhanced DBS clearance to work in the school and will not be able to take up their appointment until cleared.

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and is eligible for an enhanced DBS check including a Children’s Barring List Check. If you are barred from working with children you are breaking the law if you apply for this post
