Ward MAU is a 25 bed medical assessment unit with a dedicated assessment seated area. This is an exciting, fast paced and challenging ward to work on, with a fantastic multi-disciplinary team. We receive our patients from the Emergency department when they need to be admitted. We do review patients on same day to consider discharge on same day unless necessary.
A necessity for this role is to have a broad general medicine base and a flexible ability to work. The ideal candidate will have some knowledge in supporting a team and experience with co-ordinator a busy ward area. The candidate for this position would be highly motivated and have a genuine desire to help people in every way they can and also provide the best health care across the board.

To provide clinical expertise to the Ward Team and develop practice. To work in close liaison with the Ward Manager, and other Deputy Sister/ Deputy Charge Nurses, Matrons, Practice Development Team (PDT) and the Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) to provide the highest quality of assessment and evaluated care required to support each patient in their care pathway and improve the patient experience. To act as a clinical nurse leader, taking responsibility for the professional development of yourself and a group of nurses.
