This is a perfect role for a experienced operational manager who wants to gain experience in urgent and emergency care. Due the the planned maternity leave of the current post holder, we have a one year secondment or fixed term contract as General Manager. With services spanning 2 busy Emergency Departments including one Major Trauma Centre, 2 Same Day Emergency Care Units, and 3 Urgent treatment centres, there are multiple areas for GM involvement to support flow, patient and staff experience and quality improvement.

In this role, you will be based across St Mary's and Charing Cross Hospital sites and will be working as part of the Urgent and Emergency Care Management triumvirate team to lead delivery of the front door UEC services against quality, financial, performance and strategic objectives. To excel in this role, you will already have proven operational management experience and a solid grounding in leading a complex service and team.
• Be accountable for the operational performance of a large, complex Directorate. This will include accountability for the delivery of high quality patient care, clinical governance, patient safety, clinical quality, and delivery of financial targets.
• Have joint responsibility with the other Directorate General Managers and members of the Divisional management team for driving forward divisional wide programmes of work and service direction.
• Work closely with the Divisional Head of Operations to shape and implement the corporate objectives for the Trust.
