Summary


The Transformation Programme Manager will support the Associate Director of Transformation and Change in the development and oversight of the Trust’s Transformation and Change functions, bringing together programme management, change management and continuous improvement to enable the delivery of large-scale improvements in line with the organisation’s long-term strategy. The post holder will support in the development and implementation of the Trust’s long-term strategy through a Transformation Management Office. The Transformation Management Office (TMO) role is integral to our organization's strategic change initiatives. The TMO acts as a Portfolio Office, leading the selection, prioritisation, and control of our organisation's programs. It ensures alignment with our strategic objectives, providing comprehensive oversight, coordination, and facilitation across all aspects of our portfolio. This will include ensuring alignment with system-level changes and overall delivery of our developing long term strategy.
• The delivery of a portfolio of transformation projects and programme which will impactpatient/client care
• Providing specialised programme and project management advice and delivery to a portfolio of the Transformation programmes to support the delivery of the SECAmb five year strategy and annual business plans.
• Working across organisational boundaries adopting matrix working principles to support Strategy and Transformation team as well as other SECAmb teams with their delivery of the five year strategy and objectives within SECAmb annual business plan.
• Engagement with internal and external stakeholders• Post holder will be responsible for developing and maintaining excellent working relationships with all stakeholders internally within the Trust and with any external partners relevant to the delivery of projects and programmes within their portfolio.
• Responsible for financial/physical resourcing:• Monitor, control and accountability to the Senior Responsible Owners for the programme budget taking financial accountability and control of programme and project budgets and taking corrective action where necessary.
• Responsible for Trust Information:• Responsible for the development, management and monthly updating of the programme information as the primary tool for management performance of Strategy and Transformation programmes and outcome benefits, ensuring these are delivering on SECAmb five year strategy.

Following a period of review and recovery from our 2022 CQC inspection, the Trust is committed to take our improvements beyond an initial plan and to become a long-term opportunity for transformation for our patients and our people. We are committed to developing a new long-term strategy, and we are on a mission to build an effective Transformation Office that works in an embedded way across operational, clinical and support services to help oversee, manage and successfully deliver the changes required to achieve our long-term ambitions, as well as the ambitions of our system partners across out 4 ICBs, and the NHS Long Term Plan. Currently (Q4 23/24), the Trust does not have a traditional Programme Management Office, with projects owned locally through a range of project managers working to different practices across the organisation. The development of a Transformation Management Office will provide a range of services to support the effective coordination, oversight, and delivery of key projects and improvements required to support the Trust’s long-term strategy and will be the first step in the centralisation of project delivery. This role will also become a catalyst for innovation, helping the organisation adopt new ways of working with new processes, people and systems. These programmes will span across all directorates within the Trust including Nursing and Quality, Medical, Operations, Finance, Human resources and Organisational Development.
