What will you be doing day to day?
The Early Years Educator provides a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children to promote their social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development. They create and implement an age-appropriate curriculum, observe and assess children's progress, communicate with parents or guardians, and ensure a safe and supportive learning atmosphere.

Nursery: Lara Nursery, Thirsk
Salary: £11.54 ph - £13.29 ph (dependant on qualification/s and experience)
Location: Thirsk, North Yorkshire
Job Type: Full Time/Permanent
Hours of work: 38 hours over four days

Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging and developmentally appropriate activities to foster learning and creativity.
Create and maintain a safe, clean, and organised learning environment.
Observe and assess children's behaviour, progress, and development to identify individual needs and plan interventions.
Collaborate with other educators and professionals to support children's holistic development.
Communicate effectively with parents or guardians about their child's progress and well-being.
Maintain accurate records and documentation related to children's development and learning.

Requirements:

Level 2 or above in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
Relevant certifications or licenses as per local regulations (e.g., CPR, first aid).
Knowledge of child development theories and early childhood education practices.


Experience working with young children in an educational setting.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Desirable Skills:

Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with young children.
Ability to create a nurturing and stimulating learning environment.
Creativity and adaptability in designing age-appropriate activities.
Observation and assessment skills to track children's progress.
Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
