Summary

Care Assistant- required for our brand-new luxury care home ‘Ruby Lodge' in Sowerby, Thirsk, North Yorkshire YO7 1TS - Part of the Country Court Family.
Hours: Days 33 or 44 Hours per week available, working weekends on rota
Would you like to be part of our new Team at Ruby Lodge Care Home?
We are looking for an experienced Care Assistant for our care home 'Ruby Lodge', where you will be providing a service to the home manager, the home and our residents. We are now looking for you to join us in June, just before we open our doors to our 1st residents in late June 2024.
Ruby Lodge Care Home located in Sowerby, Thirsk will accommodate up to 69 residents and will promote a lifestyle for residents that offers a luxurious environment with exceptional personalised care. From the moment you step across the threshold, you’ll be embraced by its warm and welcoming atmosphere. With superb facilities, the highest standards of care, support and social interaction will be delivered with dignity, kindness, and compassion.

ABOUT THE CARE ASSISTANT ROLE
Within the Care Assistant role, you can really make a difference to our residents’ lives. Your responsibilities will include:

Helping our residents with personal support and care
Aiding their emotional well-being and social needs
Supporting residents at meals time
Interacting with our residents on a personal level
Maintaining and developing the residents care plan to ensure their needs are met

ABOUT YOU
Our fantastic staff are at the heart of our homes & provide vital day-to-day support to our residents, so we would love to hear from those who really do want to make a difference to people’s lives.

Be no stranger to working long shifts
Have good written & verbal communication skills
Able to engage well with the residents and their families
Have an understanding of people with Dementia.
Experience as a Care Assistant is preferred but not essential
Have an NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social care or be willing to work towards this.
