Crynodeb
As an ambassador of the Midwifery profession, ensure clinical practice that is supported by digital technology, meets professional standards. To evaluate the digital systems used in maternity and their ability to meet recommendations that will enhance and improve patient safety. Responsible for identification and appropriate escalation of any clinical safety issues associated with any new and existing clinical systems within maternity. Provide professional leadership, including motivation of staff regarding the use of digital technology. Act as an effective professional role model and expert clinician by being a change agent for technology development within the service, balancing this with realistic service needs. Act as a leader within the maternity service promoting the use of existing and new digital systems. Act as an advocate for the maternity department and work with the Trust digital health team to address any issues and concerns raised by end users. Ensure the current business continuity plans support system unavailability and staff are fully aware of the plan. Participation in Management On Call Rota.
