Summary


The Capital Projects Team has an opportunity for a technically biased Assistant Capital Projects Manager to support the delivery of a diverse range of complex and technical projects across the London Estate including its latest ECP sites. The successful candidate will be part of a multidisciplinary team and assist in the management of capital, site infrastructure, repair, upgrade projects within clinical and non-clinical environment.

The successful candidate will be technically qualified and experienced in project management with an engineering/surveying/architectural/structural/building construction background and have a passion to be involved in design development and improvement of building services infrastructure and fabric; they will be flexible, approachable, and a good communicator; they will be someone who wants to develop themselves in this challenging but rewarding role.

This is post would be suitable for a motivated and professional individual with a proven track record of delivering at pace with an exceptional eye for detail, willing to learn and with strong interpersonal and team working skills.
1. To assist in the management of capital projects, manage and deliver minor projects as designated within agreed timescales, costs and quality criteria in accordance with the Trust’s Standing Financial Instructions and recognised best practice. This will include all aspects of the project such as all building services, data, telephones and building work, inclusive of decoration, flooring and the procurement of furniture, fittings and equipment as appropriate
2. The post holder will be required to work on multiple projects in parallel.
3. To update the trust asset register to reflect the outcome of projects, moves and changes, and the acquisition and disposal of trust properties.
4. Support the management of backlog maintenance and capital projects from inception to completion across the Trust London Sites ensuring delivery of services in line with statutory regulations and Trust Policies and Procedures and providing high quality, positive outcomes for service users.
5. Act as liaison between the Trust and Contractors for RFIs, Work permits etc
6. On site co-ordination, management and reporting as required
7. Carry-out health and safety inspections and other site tasks
8. Participate in the development of specifications, tendering, procurement, financial project management as and when required.
