Summary

Training and Development Officer – Adult Services

Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Training and Development Officer to join our team in Adult Services. As the Training and Development Officer, you will play a key role in enhancing the skills and knowledge of our adult service staff, ultimately ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to our clients. Your primary responsibility will be to design, develop, and implement training programs that address the specific needs of our staff and improve their performance.

To succeed in this role, you must have a strong understanding of adult learning principles and be able to create engaging and interactive training materials. You should also have excellent communication and facilitation skills, as you will be delivering training sessions to individuals and groups of various sizes.

Responsibilities
Develop and deliver training programs for adult service staff, including both in-person and online training sessions.
Create training materials, including presentations, handouts, and e-learning modules.
Conduct needs assessments to identify specific training needs of staff members.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs to ensure maximum impact.
Collaborate with managers and subject matter experts to identify training objectives and content.
Coordinate and schedule training sessions, ensuring that all staff members are aware of the opportunities available to them.
Stay current on industry trends and best practices in adult learning to continuously improve our training programs.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as Education, Human Resources, or Psychology.
Proven experience in designing and delivering training programs, preferably in a similar field.
Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design techniques.
Excellent presentation and facilitation skills.
Proficient in using e-learning authoring tools and learning management systems.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with staff members at all levels.
